Bicycle Film Festival for the Second Time in Istanbul

The Bicycle Film Festival is a global movement that now for the second time settles in Istanbul. After a successful edition last year, this year a four-day festival with film, bicycle tours and parties will promote a healthy lifestyle. The Consulate General is the main sponsor of the event and will host movies in the Dutch Chapel, as well as the closing reception in the garden of the Consulate. Moreover, as part of the festival, a popular Dutch DJ will perform in the Küçükçiftcilik Park at September 14.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ankara and the Consulate General in Istanbul announce herewith a call for project proposals for its second round Matra and Human Rights Programme 2014.

The Matra programme aims to support Turkey’s EU accession through concrete and sustainable projects. The focus is on rule of law topics.

For more than 30 years, the British Council has played a major role in building cultural bridges between the UK and Syria, and in supporting an active and pluralist arts scene in the country. This grants programme aims to build on that record by supporting the many Syrian artists who have been forced to leave Syria and continue their work outside the country.

Successful proposals will be selected based on how strongly they contribute to one or more of the following four core objectives of the programme:
